Caleb Lee Miller
March 23, 1996 - June 7, 2023
LIMINGTON- Caleb Lee Miller of Limington, Maine aged 27 passed away leaving loved ones behind on June 7, 2023. He will be greatly missed by his son, Desmond, his parents Darien and Jane Miller, his four siblings Tony Thorne, Nick Thorne, Luke Thorne, and Hannah Maguire, his paternal grandmother Elizabeth “Betty” Miller, maternal grandfather Gary Estes, and two favorite nieces Lily and Ella. Caleb is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Loved by those who had gone before him were his paternal grandfather Donald Miller, maternal grandmother Dorothy Estes and uncles Craig Miller and Mark Estes.
Born March 23, 1996, Caleb was always a kind and loving soul who always tried to give a
helping hand to those around him. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his young son
and had looked forward to sharing his interests in hunting and fishing with his son as he had
with his father. Caleb was also a lover of reptiles and his collection included Bearded Dragons,
Ball Pythons and even a Scorpion (despite his father’s fear of snakes and reptiles).
Caleb was a dedicated son and shared a special bond with both his mother and father. He could
equally be found by the side of a brook with his Dad competing to catch the largest Brook Trout,
or escorting his mother on her shopping trips (holding the bags) or just out walking with their
four dogs in the woods. Caleb also enjoyed going out to eat with his family. He was always quick with a joke and a cheeky smile and the world will be a little more gray without him. A poem by Helen Steiner Rice says it best:
There is no night without a dawning
No winter without a Spring
And beyond the dark horizon
our hearts will once more sing.
For those who leave us for awhile
Have only gone away
Out of a restless care worn world
Into a brighter day
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 2:00 pm at the South Hiram (Stanley) Cemetery on Rt 160, S. Hiram. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home website, mainefuneral.com.
