Sampson, Lloyd J. Jr. of West Roxbury, fondly known as “Big Sam” passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 10, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Katherine “Kay” (Sarian) Sampson with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.
Loving father of Denise Mearn and her husband Joe of Westwood, and Lloyd S. Sampson of Wareham. Cherished “Papa” of Heather Merrill and her husband Rick, Joe Mearn and his wife Melissa Mearn and Elizabeth, Michael and Matthew Sampson. Loving “Great-Papa” of Avery and Reagan Mearn and Levi Merrill.
Sam was a proud Veteran of the Unites States Coast Guard serving in the Korean War. He was a longtime employee of the VA Healthcare System and founding member of DeNos Morning Coffee Club.
