Lori J. Hickey, 44

Lori J. (Barrett) Hickey, age 44, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Christopher P. Hickey, with whom she recently celebrated nineteen years of marriage.
Born in Stoughton, MA on March 7, 1979, she was a loving daughter of Maurice “Moe” and Donna (Churchill) Barrett of Attleboro, formerly of Florida and Brockton.
Lori grew up in Brockton, was a 1997 graduate of Brockton High School and continued her education, receiving an associate degree from Massasoit Community College. After her marriage and starting a family, she resumed her studies earning a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.
A resident of Norton for the past nineteen years, Lori was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had been employed for twenty years as a Benefits Administrator at Mercer Human Services in Norwood.
Lori’s family was her greatest gift in life. She was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Norton and was ever-so- proud of being a Mayflower descendant. She was an active member of the Norton High School Girls Soccer Boosters and loved attending all of her girls sporting events. Lori was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening at her home in Norton. Along with her family she loved traveling and especially taking trips to Disney World, where memories created will live on in their hearts forever.
In addition to her husband and parents, She is survived by her devoted and cherished daughters: Brennah Hickey, Annah Hickey and Leah Hickey, all of Norton. She was the dear sister of Lisa Barrett of Attleboro and Charlene Barrett of Fort Myers, Florida. She was the much-loved daughter-in- law of Paul and Helen Hickey of Readville and the special sister-in-law of Julie Doyle and her husband Desmond of Mansfield and Katie Hickey and her husband John Fitts of Mansfield. She was the treasured granddaughter of the late Mildred Churchill and is also survived by her loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, June 13th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 11:30 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Newland Cemetery in Norton.
