Taj C. Johnson, 43, of Worcester died Friday, June 2nd at home. He leaves his mother, Karen Johnson of Suffolk, Virginia; his maternal grandmother, Lucille (Badger) Johnson of Virginia; his children, Nicorey Johnson, Chance Toney, Taj-ani Johnson, and Chenoa Johnson; his brothers, Tavie Johnson of Worcester, Tranel Johnson of Shrewsbury, Cedric Turner of Worcester; and his sisters, Anitra Notice of Baltimore, MD, and Shayla Notice of Worcester. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, James Notice; his maternal grandfather, Ike Johnson, Jr.; and his brother, Gerome Johnson.
He was born in Worcester and graduated from North High School. Taj enjoyed boxing, football, and attending WooSox Games. He was a true New England sports fan.
His funeral is Thursday, June 8th with a service at 11:00 a.m. in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue followed by burial in Hope Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
