Jodi Mc Coy, age 51, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away on June 3, 2023. She was the beloved mother of James Asaro of Winchester.
Born in Medford, Jodi was the daughter of James F. Mc Coy, Jr. and Diane (McKenzie) Mc Coy. She was raised and educated in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School with the class of 1989. Jodi attended Jacksonville University in FL and transferred to Salem State University, where she received her degree in Education. She worked as a first-grade teacher in Cambridge. In her spare time, Jodi enjoyed riding her motorcycle.
In addition to her son, James, Jodi is lovingly survived by her parents, Jim and Diane (McKenzie) Mc Coy of Winchester. She is also survived by her brothers: James “Jamie” Mc Coy and his wife Carol of Salem, MA and Robert “Robbie” Mc Coy and his wife Shelby of Saratoga Springs, NY. She was loving aunt of Jack and Nataleigh Mc Coy and is further survived by her former husband, Nicholas Asaro.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, June 9 from 4-8PM and again on Saturday, June 10 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
