Elizabeth (Puopolo) Fiorentini of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, passed away on June 2, 2023, shortly before her 100th birthday. Born in East Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Alessio and Anna Puopolo. Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Eugene A. Fiorentini, the devoted mother of Roseanne Graham and her husband Alan, Jean Lewis and her husband Arthur, all of Winthrop, and her late cherished son Joseph Fiorentini. She was the adored grandmother of Gina DeNunzio of Winthrop, Mia Lombardi of Melrose, Richard Graham and Alan Graham II, both of Needham and the loving great-grandmother of Francesca and Gabriela DeNunzio of Winthrop, Avery Swinton of Melrose, and Charles, William, Elizabeth, Desmond, Fiona and Imogen Graham all of Needham. Elizabeth was the dear sister of the late Corporal Joseph J. Puopolo, Mary Mosca, Rose Vecchia, Emilio Puopolo and Nicholas Puopolo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth lived a long and remarkable life and was truly beloved by all who knew her. She was generous to a fault to anyone in need. She found joy in hosting her loved ones in the sunlit kitchen of her Bennington Street home before moving to Winthrop where she enjoyed many happy days at the Parc at Harbor View Senior Living. Many of the best memories in Betty’s life were made at the family lake house in Amherst, New Hampshire, where she relished in watching her loved ones share the summer months together on Baboosic Lake. In the year that preceded her passing, Elizabeth and her family were miraculously returned the remains of her long lost brother Cpl. Joseph J. Puopolo, a Korean War POW.

At the request of the family, Elizabeth’s funeral service will be private.
