McNALLY, Mark of West Roxbury. Died unexpectedly at the age of 33 on May 22, 2023. Mark was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School and Northeastern University. He was currently employed by Harvard University, promoting learning initiatives.
Mark is survived by his loving parents James McNally of Roslindale, Carol and her husband Leonard "Lenny" McLean of West Roxbury and his cherished sister, Julie McNally of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Mark also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mark was an accomplished man. He was President of the Catholic Memorial Latin Club, Founded the Catholic Memorial Latin Club newsletter–Equites, 1st Vice President of the Massachusetts Classical League—which promotes classical studies in the modern world, organized “Classics Day” at Boston University—which hosted over 450 students for lectures and activities, selected as one of the Catholic Memorial Student ambassadors based on his leadership qualities, and was the recipient of the Stephen R. Power Community Service Award. Mark spearheaded CM’s involvement as a Pacesetter Team in the Walk for Breast Cancer. This tradition still continues today due to Mark’s passion for the initial fundraising and organizing of this event. He was also named employee of the year at the Charles River ARC where he was working with handicapped children.
He was a kind, compassionate, caring person who always reached out to those in need. Mark would always shine through.
A celebration of life will be held at Saint John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington Street, West Roxbury on June 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
