WEBSTER – Helen M. (Decoste) Gaboury, 83, died Monday, May 29, 2023 in Webster Manor with her family at her side.
She leaves 4 children, Lynn A. Tetreault and her companion Stanley Petka, Albert Gaboury III and his wife Joyce, Robert F. Gaboury and his companion Christine Denham, and Rebecca G. Desrosiers and her husband Roy, all of Webster; 8 grandchildren, Nicole Saksa, Jason Gaboury, Samantha Cross, Steven Gaboury, Matthew McKay, and Emily Desrosier, Sam Desrosiers and Joshua Wojcik; 6 great-grandchildren, Korin, Madalynn, Jacey, Ryder, Alise and Kai; a brother, Phillip Jenkins and his wife Virginia of Lawrence; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Tetreault and by her sister Gladys Soctomah.
She was born on October 29, 1939 in Boston to William and Helen (Hitchens) Decoste and grew up in Charlestown and Somerville. She lived in Southbridge for a few years before settling in Webster 60 years ago.
She once worked in customer service at the former Greater Media Cable for several years.
She was a member of the Webster Senior Center. She loved playing bingo at various area venues. She liked to read and work on jigsaw and word puzzles.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 16 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Old Worcester Road, Webster. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
