Valerie Jean Folsom Oakhem (58) of Bridgewater died tragically on May 26th.
She was born in Somerville daugher of Charles A. Carfagno and Marcia Southern Carfagno both of Brockton. Valerie was a medical administration manager for the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. She enjoyed going to the beach, to the trampoline park with her grandchildren, listening to music at the pines, gardening, eating lobsters, organizing and riding on the back of Al’s Indian Motorcycle. Valerie also loved to experience life all of its forms.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her son Michael W. Belcher and wife Debra of Attleboro, her daughter Samantha J. Oakhem of Bridgewater, 2 grandchildren, Haley J. Belcher of Attleboro and Christian Covarrubias of Bridgewater, her fiancé Alan G. Nicholson of Lakeville, 3 brothers, Robert Folsom of Brockton, Dennis Folsom and wife Lori of Bridgewater and Marc Folsom of New Hampshire, her son in law Jorge Covarrubias of Bridgewater and her former husband William Oakhem of Fall River.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday June 2nd from 4-8 pm. Services in the Funeral Home Saturday Morning June 3rd at 8:30 am. Followed by a Final Run to St. Ann’s Church, 103 N Main Street West Bridgewater for a Funeral Mass at 10 am. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, 483 N Main Street West Bridgewater.
