Mrs. Bette J. (Patrick) Kidwell, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Edward W. “Bill” Kidwell, passed away at her home on Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023. She was 90 years old.
Born in Gary, Indiana, on October 7, 1932, she was the beloved daughter of the late Walter T. and Katherine A. (Kalman) Patrick. Bette was an Andover public school teacher, for over 26 years.. She spent more than 36 years as an adult special needs supporter and was the founder of Creative Living for adults. She also was a member of CLASS (Citizens League for Adult Special Services). She will be dearly missed by many people..
Bette is survived by her loving sons; Jeffrey S. Kidwell of West Palm Beach, Florida and Robert W. Kidwell of Andover, and dear friends; Sharon Proventure of Andover, Ricky Simard of Lawrence, Barbara Simard of Methuen and Kelly Garbowski of Lowell. She was also the grandmother of the late Lisa Stanton.
A graveside service will be held in the St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury, on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend..
