Enrique Tamayo, 93, of Medway died suddenly May 20 while vacationing in Hyannis. He was
the husband of the late Ana Silvia Ramos de Tamayo who died in 2000.
Enrique was born in Colombia on December 9, 1929, the son of Aristipo Tamayo and Ines
Mogollon de Tamayo. He married in 1952 and immigrated with his family to USA and settled in
Yonkers, NY in 1965.
Enrique was a quiet, distinguished gentlemen who always had a smile on his face. He worked
as an accountant (Colombia), warehouse supplier (NY) and grocery clerk (FL). He moved from
Florida to Medway in 2010 and has been a frequent visitor to the Medway Senior center in his
retirement. He loved to read and enjoyed watching soccer. He was able to attend the USA vs.
Colombia soccer game in person this past January in LA while visiting his brother.
He is predeceased by 2 daughters, Inez (Tamayo) Mullery of Delaware and Silvia (Tamayo) Lapp
of Florida.
He is survived by: Daughter, Gladys Pozsgai, her husband, Tim and 3 grandchildren, Brendan,
Raquel and Riana. Son, Enrique Tamayo, and grandson, Theo. Son-in-law, Kevin Mullery and 2
grandchildren, Alicia and Michael. Son-in-law, Tracy Lapp and grandson, Jordan.
He is also survived by a brother, Alvaro Tamayo of Los Angeles, California and a sister, Gloria
Vargas Tamayo of Bogota, Colombia, and many nieces and nephews.

Church, 151 Village St, Medway at 11:00a.
