Lena (Corbin) Giglio, a longtime resident of Medford, passed away on May 21, 2023 at age 102.
Nana was the cornerstone of our family — the glue that held us all so closely together. Nana radiated an essence so kind and loving that she touched the hearts of everyone she met. So much so that family, friends and everyone who knew her saw her as Nana. We’re so incredibly grateful to have shared time on this earth with such a gentle, pure soul. Life will never be the same without you Nana. May your wisdom, unconditional love, and family values live on in all of us.
Lena was the wife of the late Salvatore M. Giglio. She was the loving mother of Daniel Giglio of Medford and the late Armand Desjardin, the late Robert Giglio and his surviving wife Sandra, and the late Delories Williams and her late husband Charles. Lena was the dear sister of Delores Adams and Harold Corbin. She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle Bennett, Alec Bennett and his wife Heidi, Richard Desjardin, Ron Desjardin, David Desjardin, Paul Giglio, Aaron Giglio, Sara Giglio, Teresa Giglio and Liliana Giglio, and great grandmother of Tyler Crady, Timothy Crady Desjardin, Tanner Crady Desjardin, Julie Crady Desjardin, Brendan Bennett, Danielle Bennett, Shawn Morrow, Nicole Morrow, Joshua Ryan Desjardin, Lauren Taylor Desjardin and Megan Nichole Kline, and great great grandmother of Miley Crady. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday May 26th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday May 25th from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
