Bradford Slack McMenimon, 68, of Easton, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023. He was born June 17, 1955 in Boston and raised in Randolph as the fourth of six children to the late William and Carolyn Jean McMenimon of New Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Randolph.
After high school, Brad went on to pursue a lifelong career in the family business at The Flying Locksmith, alongside his brothers and father before retiring after 45 years.
Brad met his beautiful wife, Sandy (Felix), as teenagers in 1968 and started dating shortly thereafter. They loved camping, canoeing and skiing together. They were married on June 3, 1984. Together they raised five wonderful children: Travis (Sophy), Krista, Staci (Mark Eyer), Jacqueline and Eric. Their five grandkids, Tyler, Theodore, Alessandra, Owen and Wells, will never forget their Papa and his love of ice cream and swimming in the pool.
Throughout his life, you could find Brad playing cards, on a volleyball court, watching old western shows, on the sidelines cheering on his kids, golfing at Pine Oaks, dancing with Sandy in the kitchen or telling really bad “dad jokes.”
Brad will be profoundly missed by those who loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Carolyn Jean, older brothers William (Susan) of Florida and Bob (Kate) of Hingham. He leaves behind his brother, Buzz (Jean) of Abington, and sisters, Kelly (Steve Rizzuto) of Belmont and Tracy (Marcos) of Tampa, Fla.
Brad passed away after a short battle with cancer. Just as in life, Brad managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by those he loved most in this world.
The family wishes to thank the medical team at Massachusetts General and Tufts for their guidance and support during this difficult time.
