Raymond Steven Monteiro, 68, of Malden, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, after courageous battle with cancer.
Raymond was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 21, 1954, to Elizabeth Lopes of Boston and Raymond Monteiro of New Bedford, MA. He received his Associates Degree from Fisher College and worked as a Computer Operator for the State of Massachusetts for many years and recently worked for the Stop & Shop Company as a Meat Clerk.
Steve, as many knew him, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his time with family and friends. He enjoyed listening to all types of music, watching sporting events with family, and having a good cold one……
Raymond is survived by his mother Elizabeth Monteiro, wife Lisa DiPrizio-Monteiro, children Stephanie Monteiro-Merritt and her husband Larry Merritt II, Toray Monteiro and his wife Bridget and Krystyn Monteiro; grandchildren Janee, Jayda and Arianna Merritt, Kason and Shay Monteiro as well as his siblings, Andrea, Alicia, David, Elena, Mary, Maureen and Robert Monteiro, Cindy and her husband Lance Woodley and Ricky Monteiro and his wife Felicia, Jennifer and her husband Joe Rose and Josephine Costa – Pento; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
