Albert J. Lee Jr, a 38 year resident of Somerville and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 80 years of age.
Albert was born in Boston on April 15, 1943, a son of the late Albert J. Lee and Marion E. (Lamothe) Lee. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Charlestown High School. Albert was drafted into the United States Army on December 18, 1964 and served his country with pride and honor during the Vietnam Conflict. He was honorably discharged on December 16, 1966 with the rank of Specialist-4. Albert worked as a Manager for the John Murray Stationary Company in Boston for 27 years. He then went on to work as an Office Supplies Representative for Phase One in Cambridge, and lastly as a Sales Representative in Lawrence for Corporate Express. Albert enjoyed drinking Budweiser and visiting the dog track. Most of all, he loved his wife immensely.
Albert is the beloved husband of 38 years to Grace A. (Lytle) Lee. He is the dear brother of Jimmy Lee, and the late Loretta Carr and her surviving husband David. He is the brother-in-law of Robert L. Lytle Jr., Nancy Ward, Patricia Carlson, and Andrea Lytle. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Albert's Funeral on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
