MILLBURY___Halina Z. (Pieczywek) Grinkiewicz, 100, of Millbury died peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Her husband, John Grinkiewicz, died in 1992. Her previous husband, Jerzy Brzozy died in 1957. Halina would have observed her 101st birthday on June 5th.
Halina is survived by two sons, Stanley Brzozy of Millbury with whom she made her home and Richard Brzozy and his wife Aldona of Naperville, IL., two grandchildren, Kimberly and Bryan, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Halina was born in Lublin, Poland a daughter of Waclaw and Zofia Pieczywek and was the last surviving of eight brothers and sisters. Halina has lived here since 1962.
Mrs. Grinkiewicz was a seamstress and worked 25 years for Newton Sportswear Co., before retiring many years ago. Halina was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester and loved to work in her gardens.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday May 22, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
