Millard “Jerry” Barlow passed in the comfort of his Tewksbury home surrounded by love on April 25th, days before his 85th birthday.
On May 5, 1938 Jerry was born in Ferndale Michigan to his mother Lou Elsie (Masters) Barlow and his father Millard Carson Barlow. Soon after graduating high school, he married his beloved Judith “Judy” Mildred (Shaffer) Barlow who passed in 2010. Together they had two children, Douglas Barlow and Sandra (Barlow) Dukeshire. Jerry leaves behind both his children, along with his granddaughters
Sarah (Dukeshire) Tower, Laura (Dukeshire) Maheux, Dana Dukeshire and Courtney Barlow along with 5 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his latter in life sweetheart Nicoletta Farell.
From 1960-1964 Jerry honorably served on active duty in the Air Force earning the title Airman First Class. Simultaneously he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering through a program thousands applied for yet only seven graduated from. He was in the top 1% . From there he went on to excel on management teams in telecommunication, media, and fiber optics for companies such as Butler Aviation, UBT, ITT, Sprint, Winstar, Innovative Telcom and GTE Main Street Interactive holding positions of Director, President and Senior Vice-President.
Jerry had a love of all things electronic, the stock market and travel. His journeys took him all over the country including many trips to Canada, Hawaii and Bermuda. His friends and family remember him for his keen sense of humor and incredible knowledge which spanned innumerable topics. He truly believed one should never stop learning.
In honor of his wishes, no public services will be held. Jerry's ashes will be spread along with his wife's in a private place that was special to them both.
