Carol S.(Nolin) Noel, 73, of North Andover, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Sutton Hill Center in North Andover. She was born at the McGowan Hospital in Methuen, MA to the late Henry D. Nolin and Suzanne (Gagnon) Nolin on December 25, 1949. Carol graduated from St. Anne Grammar and High School in Lawrence, MA. Later in life, Carol attended Essex Agricultural and Technical school in Danvers, MA. In 1998 she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class, earning an associate degree in culinary arts. For most of her life Carol worked as an accounting clerk for International Paper Construction Company in Jay, ME then with JEOL USA in Peabody, MA. Besides her love of cooking Carol liked reading and sewing quilts. She enjoyed traveling to Canada, visiting relatives, and taking cruises to the Caribbean. Carol was a member of St. Michael Parish in North Andover where she taught CCD and the Alpha Program. She also belonged to prayer groups at Sacred Heart Parish in Lawrence and St. Mary Parish in Georgetown. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Basil's Salvatorian Center in Methuen, MA. She was a member of the Greccio Secular Franciscan Order. Carol is survived by her daughter: Renee Waterhouse, of Danvers, MA, and her sister; Barbara and husband Russell Mercier. She is also survived by her nieces Laura Chin and Karen Mercier and her great nephew and great niece, Caden and Harper Chin. All reside in North Andover, MA. Carol was predeceased by her brother Gerard H. Nolin. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10am at St. Michael Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA 01845. Family and friends are invited to attend a brief reception from 9:30am to 10am at St. Michael Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 80 Corbett St., Andover, Ma 01810.
