Thomas Alan Sumner, 77, of Londonderry, NH passed away Sunday May 14, 2023. Tom was born January 7, 1946, in Worcester, MA. He was the son of the late Thomas and Gladys (Leaver) Sumner. He was raised and educated in Londonderry, NH and received a B.Ed degree in teaching from Keene State College.
He was a wonderful father and uncle who was always loving, generous and supportive, never missing opportunities to celebrate birthdays, holidays and other special occasions with cards and flowers. He also loved dogs, owned and enjoyed many during his lifetime.
For several years after college, Tom taught math at Nashua's Fairgrounds Junior High School. His love of food and excellent hospitality led him to own and operate Shenanigan's Pub in Londonderry for several years. He also enjoyed successful sales management position with Anheuser Busch; and, as a Sales Executive with NASE prior to retiring.
A life-long well-known resident of Londonderry, NH and for many years a part-time resident of Maui, Hawaii, he very much appreciated and enjoyed spending time with his many wonderful friends. An avid tennis player and golfer, he once captivated his golf partners with a hole-in-one while playing with a 9-Iron on the 11th hole of the Londonderry Country Club.
Tom was predeceased by his father, mother, and sister Barbara Healey. He is survived by his loving daughter Kelly Sumner Moloney and her husband Thomas Moloney of Temecula, CA; niece Faith Warren Baird of Raymond NH, nephew Nathan Warren of Loudon, and several wonderful great-nephews and great-nieces.
