STANDISH- Danny passed May 12, 2023. He grew up in Hiram and graduated from Sacopee Valley High School.
The best day of his life was when he welcomed his daughter Courtney into the world. She was usually found tagging along behind him with a fish in one hand and a chicken in the other. He enjoyed driving the back roads of Hiram with his beloved lab Magnum in his camouflaged Falcon looking for woodcock. Tear Cap, Jump City, and Slick’s Pit were some of his favorite places. If you were looking for Danny, he could be found canoeing down the Saco, hornpouting at Hornpout Rock and Ingalls, ice fishing on Hancock, deer and bear hunting Mt. Cutler, or duck hunting Brownfield Bog. On February 29th, he married his wife, Terri. They had an outside wedding in the cranberry bog behind their property in full camouflage attire. Danny always laughed that he had an anniversary every four years. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox with “Ma”. Danny was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Helen Eastman, his sister Dorcey Poitras, and Father-in-law Larry Libby. He is survived by his wife Terri Eastman, daughter Courtney Benson, son-in-law and “Best Friend” Steven Benson, grandsons Wesley and Camdyn Benson, Sister Deborah Harmon and husband Lenny, Sister Lorry Lyons and husband David, Brother Daren Eastman and wife Soy, Mother-in-law Glenda Romano, Sister-in-law Karin Libby Allen, Brother-in-law Scott, Special Cousin Jill, and Special forever friends Wayne and Harriet. He will be missed by all his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. At the request of Danny, there will be no service. Build a bonfire, open a can of suds, and enjoy a good laugh.
