France B. (Byrnes) Newman age 89 of Salem, NH, died Saturday, June 10 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Derry, NH.
She was born in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she grew up and attended schools. She was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Newman worked in the Media Center at Salem High School for many years. She was also a secretary at Rockingham Park Race Track. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Salem, NH, where she was active with the Ladies Sodality.
Mrs. Newman enjoyed the beach, traveling to Maine, and most of all, spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her Husband Ira E. Newman
She is survived by 2 Sons: Robert & his Wife Nancy Newman of Duxbury, MA
Richard & his Wife Joyce Newman of Derry, NH
1 Daughter: Susan & her Husband George Patterson of Acton, MA
1 Brother: William Byrnes of Warwick, RI
2 Sisters: Grace Byrnes of Providence, RI
Gertrude Dwyer of S. Dartmouth, MA
7 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces & Nephews
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 14 at 11 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
