Henry “Buck” Leslie, Jr. 77, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Harbor View Nursing Home in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023, at Lax Holiness Church, in Coffee County, Georgia, with Pastor David Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral in Ocilla.
Mr. Leslie was born July 11, 1945, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Henry Leslie, Sr. & Jewel Jones Leslie. He was a farmer and also worked for the Irwin County Road Department. Mr. Leslie loved to fish and was an avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed carpentry work and painting. Mr. Leslie loved his family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra L. Leslie of Ocilla; daughter, Michelle Apperson & Kelly of Ocilla; grandchildren: Ethan Thomas Apperson and Leslie Grace Apperson; and three sisters: Eunice Horton of Jacksonville, Florida, Mae Joiner of Douglas and Teresa Griffin of Ocilla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Williams.
