Jessica Marie Ahearn, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was 51 years of age.
Jessica was born in Norwood on March 30, 1972, a daughter of Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Duncan) Ahearn and the late John J. Ahearn. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Catherine's and St. Clements Parochial Schools and then graduated from Charlestown High School. Jessica worked as a Longshorewoman on the Boston waterfront for over 15 years and was a member of the International Longshoreman's Association Union Local # 799. In her spare time, Jessica enjoyed coloring, swimming and doing crossword puzzles.
Jessica is the beloved daughter of Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Duncan) Ahearn and retired Boston Firefighter John Flaherty and the late John J. Ahearn. She is the devoted mother of Christian Ahearn, Thomas Ahearn and the late Bridgette Erin Ahearn. She is the loving Nana Jessica to Michael James Ahearn and Dimitrius Ahearn. She is the beloved sister of Jennifer Ahearn and John Ahearn. She is also survived by her many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jessica's visiting hours on Friday morning, May 19, 2023 from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. Her burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
