Susie Sackett, 72, of Santa Paula passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Ojai Health and Rehabilitation in Ojai following a long illness.
She was born August 17, 1950, in Los Angeles, California to the late Charles C. and Dolores Lytle Sackett. She graduated from Simi Valley High School. Furthermore, she continued her education late in life, studying at Moorpark College and completing her Associates Degree at Ventura College with a focus on Sociology and Music. She loved music, singing in several church praise and worship teams.
Susie is survived by her son, Earl Bandy (Meredith) and grandchildren (Elias and Ruth) of Charlotte, NC; her daughter Sarah Bandy of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Ginny Sackett, of Nevada County, California; and many nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Bandy and by her brother, Robert Sackett.
Susie’s faith in Jesus as her comforter and savior was a constant in her life. We’d like to express our gratitude to her caregiver, Margaret, who stayed with mom through many years of health struggles.
