Barry Jon Erlandson, Sr., 64 of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Teresita L. (Ortega) Erlandson with whom he spent the last forty years.
He was born in Stoneham, MA on June 25, 1958 and was a son of the late Kenneth Erlandson and the late Beverly (Kelly) Erlandson. He spent much of his childhood in Tewksbury, MA where he graduated from Tewksbury Memorial Highschool.
Barry made his home in the Back Central Street neighborhood of Lowell, and enjoyed fishing, loved woodworking, and tinkering in his workshop. He was a devoted son, always sure to check in on his parents and a proud grandpa who would love to share stories of all the wonderful milestones and achievements of each of his grandchildren.
A machinist by trade, he worked for several employers throughout the New England area as a manual machinist.
In addition to his loving wife, Teresita, he is survived by his children and stepchildren, Barry J. Erlandson Jr. and his wife, Linda Lunn of Lowell, Christine Bello and her husband, Todd of Lowell, Lucia Walker and her husband, Rick of Lowell, Dave Perry and his wife, Kelly of Lowell, Lillian Perry and her companion, David Bonilla of Lowell, Maria Perry of Lowell, and Marion Mullin and her husband, Steve, of Lunenberg; sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and his siblings, Barbara Erlandson of Virginia, and Nancy Gagnon of Arizona.
Sadly, in addition to his parents, Kenneth and Beverly Erlandson, he was predeceased by his brother, Daniel K. Erlandson, and his stepson Arnel Perry.
On Thursday, May 18, 2023 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 9 until 11 a.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell 978-458-6816.
A procession will follow for burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, 100 Salem Street, Woburn.
