CHICOPEE – Frank J. Spinelli, 86, a longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 12, 2023. He passed into Eternal Life at Pioneer Valley Health and Rehabilitation in South Hadley surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family and friends. He was born in Tewksbury on December 19, 1936. He was raised in Belchertown and West Springfield and had lived in Aldenville for many years. He was employed at the Lucky Strike Restaurant in Chicopee for over 40 years. He was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. He leaves his beloved “adopted” family, Edward A. Daviau and his wife, Sandra, of Rowe, Therese B. Boncavage and her husband, Gerald, of East Berlin, PA, Richard A. Daviau of Chicopee, Roger J. Daviau of Ware, Suzanne Grandmont and her husband, Rene, of Palmer and Raymond F. Daviau and his wife, Gail, of Chicopee. He was predeceased by his “adopted” sister, Dianne Haney; and his longtime friend, Walter C. “Charlie” Daviau. His funeral will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to his Mass.
