Helen Howell Wiggins, 71, of Tifton passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenneth Goff officiating. Mrs. Wiggins will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Lamar Guy, David Guy, Jody Wiggins, Kerry Wiggins, Tony Howell and Kenny Allen will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Woodall, Tony Martinez, Cory Smith, Randall Howell, Stephen Young, Nick Garcia, Chance Smith, Talmadge Hill, Malcom Rivera, Matt Rivera, Fernando Plaza, Michael Tullo and Evan Baker.
Born on September 14, 1951, in Tifton, Mrs. Wiggins was the daughter of the late Arthur Howell and Mary Lou Kearce Elinburg. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Gary Howard Wiggins and two sisters, Ellen Guy and Rosalie Silva. Before retiring, she worked as a loan officer.
Mrs. Wiggins is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen and Earl Lasseter and Teresa Martinez, all of Tifton and Andrea Dawson of Canton, Larry Delaney and Stacey Revels of Norman Park and Dennis and Christine Wiggins of Tifton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jack Howell and Billy Joe and Marie Howell, all of Tifton; two sisters, Sandra Reyes and Janet Howell, both of Tifton; two brothers-in-law, Neal Guy of Milledgeville and Soylo Silva of Tifton; her grandchildren and their spouses, Skye and Cody Smith, Luis Martinez, Emmalie Martinez, Morgan Delaney, Gabby Delaney, Drew Massey, D.J. Wiggins, Blaze Wiggins, Jonathan Wiggins, Abby Wiggins, Stephan and Madison Bowen, Starr Martinez, Valerie and Justin Spurlin, Samantha and Jesse Leverett, Brandon Lasseter, Alex Saldana, Jamaya Burns, Michael Gunderson, Lacey Hall, Austin Hall, Tyler McCranie and Haleigh Johnson; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
