Barbara Ann Fierri of Watertown, MA passed away on May 10, 2023 at the age of 83. Barbara was born to the late Etalo Bagnaschi and Mary (Dombrowksi) Bagnaschi of Torrington, CT. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mark R. Fierri and her children, Michelle (John) Van Kleeff of Ashland, MA, Mark (Jennifer) Fierri, Jr. of Norton, MA, and Tracey (Marc) Barenholtz of Watertown, MA. She was the beloved grandmother to John, Christian, Luke, Taryn, Brooke, Ryder and Ryssa. She is also survived by her brother, Jim (Brenda) Bagnaschi of Windsor, CT.
Barbara graduated from Torrington High School in 1957. Upon marrying, she moved to Watertown, MA where she raised her family. She was employed for 26 years in the Watertown pediatric office of Dr. Richard Kerbel, where she loved greeting and getting to know the many children and families they saw throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, attending her grandchildren’s games and events and listening to talk radio. An avid sports fan, Barbara especially loved watching basketball and cheering on her favorite team of all time, the Boston Celtics.
In her high school yearbook, Barbara was described as “generally speaking she is generally speaking.” This held true throughout her life as she loved people, loved to talk and socialize and had a kind word for all she met.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 16 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown, MA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont, MA. Interment to follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 190 Highland Avenue, Watertown, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. For people planning to attend the funeral, please go directly to church on Wednesday morning.
Donations in Barbara’s name may be made payable to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Barbara was very patriotic and this organization was near and dear to her heart.
