Barbara Ann Perkins Dunn, 87, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Southwell Health and Rehab in Adel. A private graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Dunn at a later date. The Rev. Craig Nalls will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born February 9, 1936, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Ms. Dunn was the daughter of the late Thomas Perkins and Hattie Mae Richardson Perkins. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Dunn and Thomas Dunn; and two brothers, Thomas Perkins and Douglas Perkins. Before retiring, she worked as a chef at the Orlando Sentinel, Disney World and the Doubletree Hotel. She was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Ms. Dunn is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Belinda Dunn of Apollo Beach, Florida; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Dunn of Tifton, Merri and Paul Bekemeyer of Leesburg, Florida and Beth and Wesley Ryther of Chula; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Dunn of Winter Springs, Florida; three brothers, Nicholas Perkins, Larry Perkins and Bobby Perkins; and five grandchildren, Breann Bekemeyer, Joe Bekemeyer, both of Leesburg, Florida, Rachel Dunn of Lakeland, Florida, Tommy Dunn of Tifton and Christopher Dunn of Winter Springs, Florida.
