Obituary

Christine Madeline (LeBlanc) Kerr, a 78 year resident of Newtonville, died Sun June 11, 2006 at the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley. She was 96.
Mrs. Kerr was born in Rollo Bay, Souri, Prince Edward Island, on Nov. 23, 1909. Years later she traveled to Waban, MA where she met Lawrence H. Kerr. The couple was married at St. Philip Neri Church in Waban on Nov 23, 1933. They traveled to PEI and cape Breton annually, where several nieces and nephews and her sister in law reside. Christine worked for the Marriott Hotel and Our Lady’ School cafeteria, both in Newton and was a parishioner of St. Bernard’s Church in West Newton. In Sept 2005 she moved to the Scandinavian Living Center in West Newton and following a brief illness she moved to the Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley Hills. She was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and Red Sox, and enjoyed card games with friends and shopping. Most important to Christine was her time spent with her family. Wife of the late Lawrence H. Kerr she will be deeply missed by her children Lawrence “Lonnie” Kerr and his wife Irene of Natick, Nancy Chiasson and her husband Cliff of Middleboro, Lorraine Berube and her husband Henry of Newton and George Kerr and his wife Marie of Natick. She will also be missed by her 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Wed June 14 at 9 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard’s Church West Newton at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Tues from 5-8 PM.
