Beth (Hooker) Wehrly, 76, of Anderson died at her residence May 8, 2023.
She was born June 2, 1946 in Anderson, the daughter of Robert and Evelyn (McElhoe) Hooker. She was a school lunch lady at Tenth Street Elementary School and also worked in Data Processing at Delco Remy Division of General Motors.
She was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church in Albany, Georgia.
She was a Cub Scout Master of Boy Scouts. She loved gardening and was an avid cat lover. She enjoyed family time and time with her grandkids. She loved spending time in her shade garden. She also enjoyed Colts football and was a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Fan of NASCAR.
Beth is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Wehrly of Anderson whom she married December 14, 1968; her four children, Jeff (Jenny) Wehrly, Robert (Amy) Wehrly, Ryan Wehrly and Casey Powell of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Logan (Kirsten) Wehrly, Ally (RJ) Wehrly, Brooklyn Street, Madelyn Wehrly and Harrison Wehrly; three great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Evelynn Wehrly and Lincoln Ploughe; three siblings, Mark (Nancy) Hooker, David (Bonnie) Hooker and Rebecca Gooding; best friend, Sandy Powell of Albany, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Phil Rogers officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Humane Society or Habitat for Humanity of Madison County.
