MARLBOROUGH—Linda F. (Mason) Joyce 53, of Marlborough, a former longtime resident of Franklin died suddenly Saturday June 10, 2006 at her home following a long illness. She was the wife of Keith E. Joyce.
Born January 28, 1953 in the Dorchester section of Boston a daughter of Evelyn D. (Ryley) Dennison of Medfield and the late Francis S. Mason, she was raised in the Boston area until moving to Franklin.
Educated at the Most Precious Blood Grammar School in Hyde Park and a 1971 graduate of St. Claire’s High School in Roslindale she worked as an executive secretary for Analog Devices and worked for many years at the Franklin and Brookline Stop & Shop Supermarkets and also worked part-time for the former Sheila’s Answering Service.
She loved to read, enjoyed all types of animals and going for walks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was always willing to help others in need. She was a former religious education teacher at St. Mary’s School and a member of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
In addition to her husband of 23 years and her mother she is survived by a son Brandon M. Joyce of Marlborough, 3 step-children Sean Joyce of Chicago, Neil Joyce of Florida and Anthony Joyce of Marlborough, a brother Paul S. Mason of Salem, NH, 2 sisters Susan M. O’Brien of Canton and Judith E. Citrone of Natick. She is also the step-daughter of John H. Dennison of Medfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday June 14, at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home (www.franklinfuneral.com) 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass at 9AM in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin. Burial will follow in the family lot in Canton Corner Cemetery in Canton, MA.
