FALL RIVER… Silvina (Cabral) Botelho, age 96, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 4, 2023.
Born in Lagoa on St. Michael, Azores, Silvina was daughter of the late Jose Silva Cabral and Deolinda Alecrin. She moved to the United States in 1948 and was the beloved wife of the late Jose Botelho.
Prior to her retirement in 1988, Mrs. Botelho worked in the local textile mills as a machine operator for nearly 40 years. She was Baptized at the Christ Temple U.P.C. in Tiverton, RI. She was also known for her love of baking.
Survivors include: son, Norbert Botelho of Fall River, MA; brother, Manuel Silva of Newport, RI; 3 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Botelho was predeceased by her brother, the late John Cabral.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA at 11:00 A.M. following calling hours from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Fall River, MA.
