Margaret P. "Margie" (Gould) McMaster, a longtime resident of Lynn and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Salem Hospital in Salem, Mass. She was 70 years of age.
Margie was born in Boston on October 20, 1952, a daughter of the late Thomas Gould and Helen (Hickey) Gould. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated at St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from St. Rose High School in Chelsea in 1970. Margie worked as a Home Health Aide for the Kennedy Center in Charlestown for many years dedicating herself to the needs of so many people of Charlestown. She enjoyed walking and always loved a good book to read. Family was paramount in Margie's life and she enjoyed all the quality moments she spent with her 3 children and most of all she cherished the special times she was able to spend with each one of her grandchildren.
Margie is the devoted mother of Kim McMaster and her companion James Tracy, Kevin McMaster and his wife Jessica and Daniel McMaster and his wife Janell. She is the loving Nana Marge to Keighan, Caitlin, Kyleigh, Daniel Jr., Eireann, Kevin and loving Gran to Declan and Danika. She is the wife of the late Daniel McMaster. She is the beloved sister of Richard Gould and his wife Janet and the late Thomas Gould and Timothy Gould. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Margie's Funeral on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
