Robert William Crapo, 94, of Dartmouth passed away on May , 2023. He was the husband of the late Emilia Crapo. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was born on November 27, 1928. He was employed by Hathaway Machinery for many years and retired from C E Beckmann Co. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and socializing at local restaurants and coffee shops.
Bob is survived by his step-daughter, Mara Boudria (Cornel), grandsons Cornel Domininique Boudria (Erin), Craig Boudria (Christine), great-grandchildren Sophia, Norah, Davis Robert, and Nolan Boudria, brother Harold W. Crapo, Jr, nieces Mary Crapo-Pereira (Joe), Caroline Costa (Shawn), nephew Harold Crapo III (Destin), great-niece Sydney Pereira, great-nephew Benjamin Costa, and his late wife's godchild, Maryanne Stebenne. He is also survived by his neighbors, who became family, Matthew and Andrea Moniz and their sons Benjamin, Joshua, and Andrew, Jim and Kathy Souza and the Rossi's. The family would also like to thank the dedicated caregivers, Zenaida Rivera, Bethy Ruffley, Brittney Pauline, Gina Marabuto, Jackie, Alyssa, Deb Santos, and the VNA. Their compassion is greatly appreciated. A special thank you to the entire Moniz family for being Bob's friend and for always taking care of him, especially in his later years.
Bob is also survived by his beloved cat Piper, who was always by his side. Piper will continue to be loved and cared for by family.
Bob was a communicant of St. Julie's Church in Dartmouth. He is predeceased by his sister, Marlene, and his parents, Harold and Edith Crapo.
Rest in peace, Bob. You will be missed by all who knew you.
His Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 12th at 11 AM in Cushing Cemetery.
