Kevin D. Consaul, 64, of Dracut, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 after a lengthy hospital stay. He was the husband of Gail Gacek, with whom he shared the last 20 years.
He was born in Suffern, NY on February 2, 1959 and was one of 9 children of the late Robert D. and the late Barbara A. (Bayly) Consaul. He spent his early years in Troy, NY before relocating to Tewksbury in 1969, when he was ten years old. He attended the area schools in Tewksbury, graduating from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the Class of 1977.
Kevin was an incredibly gifted master carpenter and was known for his skill as a siding cutter and for his knowledge behind the art and science of finish carpentry. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time around a fire, camping with his family. He was a jokester and will be remembered for his sarcastic Irish wit. Above all else, spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him the most happiness.
In addition to his wife, Gail Gacek of Dracut, he is survived by his three children, Kevin F. Consaul and his fiancé, Heather Bellen of Greenfield, NH, Jacqueline Consaul and her fiancé, Walter Brown of Lowell, Shauna Consaul and her fiancé, Javi Baez of Lowell; his two stepchildren, Jennifer Gacek and her fiancé, Jesus Ortiz of Lawrence, and Michael Gacek and his fiancé, Sarah Watt, of Lunenburg. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called him ‘Grandpa Marvin’, Alysa R. Sapp-Consaul, Isaiah Sapp-Consaul, Madison Beauchesne, Lillie Brown, Nyla Baez, Kalia Baez, Briella Baez, and Xander Ortiz.
He also leaves behind his six siblings, Deborah and her husband, Edward Palumbo of Salem, NH, B. Ronald Consaul and his partner, Anne Avila of Nashua, NH, Bruce Consaul and his wife, Rosemary (McGonagle) Consaul of Bartlett, NH; Attorney Scott Consaul of Tewksbury, Diana Milley and her partner, Gerry Buzzell of Tewksbury, and Lisa Kelley and her partner, Warren Monsignore, of Tewksbury; the mother of his children, Joanne (Walles) Consaul of Pelham, NH; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was welcomed into heaven by his siblings, the late Robert D. Consaul Jr. and the late Donna Vasey; and his stepmother, the late Marion Consaul.

On Friday, May 5, 2023 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 5 - 7 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061. His funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 7 p.m..
