WORCESTER___Jane M. Starbard (Reeks) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane M.
“ Nana” Starbard, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
On April 29, 2023 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center at the age of 65, she left this world peacefully surrounded by her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered for years to come. Her husband of 36 years, Mitchell J. Starbard, Sr., passed in 2018.
Jane dedicated the past 12 years working at Repligen in Marlborough, MA where she shared the commitment to help overcome the challenges in bioprocessing to improve human health worldwide.
She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her world and she enjoyed family trips to Old Orchard beach.
Jane is survived by her son, Mitchell J. Starbard, Jr., and by her daughter, Bria J. Starbard, four grandchildren, Mary, Arnaldo, Faith, and Alexander. A brother, Anthony Reeks, nieces, Tina, Dawn, Sherry and her husband Paul, Heidi, Fredrick, Maryann and Angie; two great nieces Tiffini and Tiana and a great nephew Justin along with many other family members and friends. Jane was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Louis and June (Burdett) Reeks and was also predeceased by her sisters Terry “Hazel” Slaney, Mary ”Candy” Fallon, Lois Salazar, and a great niece Chelsea Friel.
Services will be held on May 8, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street. Worcester. Burial services will be private at the family’s request.
