June (Lee) French, age 91, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Center in Milton. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. “Bill” French.
Born in Parsons, Kansas on June 2, 1931, she was a loving daughter of the late Howard and Dora Lee.
June spent her early childhood living in Parsons, Kansas. At age 7 her family moved to Chelsea, Massachusetts where she grew up and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Mrs. French was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, who were truly the essence of her life. She had also worked as an office administrator at the former Howard Johnson in Braintree.
June had made her home in Mansfield for the past eighteen years and formerly resided in North Fort Myers, Florida. She was an active member of both the Mansfield Council on Aging and the Norton Senior Center where she enjoyed socializing with friends and especially playing bingo.
She is survived by her devoted daughters: Susan Willis and her husband Roger of Kingston, Lynda Pucci and her husband Tom of Duxbury, Diane French and her partner Tom Hunt of Mansfield and Tracey Techiera and her husband Alan of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Lee Willis and his wife Andrea, Lucas Willis and his wife Caitlyn, Ryan Techiera, Bria Techiera, William Techiera and the great grandmother of June Willis, Anna Willis and Sofia Willis. She was the dear sister of the late Anne Chappell and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in celebration of her life on Saturday, May 6th from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, June’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Mansfield Council on Aging, 255 Hope Street, Mansfield, MA 02048.
