Obituary

Arthur Allsopp 72, of Hyannis Ma. (Luke Wetherfield) passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023. Arthur was the son of the late Arthur and Barbara Allsopp.

Arthur’s passion for music started at a very young age with his first official band gig playing at their Junior High Dance. He was the founder of the Massachusetts Country Music Awards Association which promoted live Country Music all over Massachusetts. The MCMAA helped talented musicians and vocalist with the opportunity to showcase their talent to club owners all over New England, which in turn helped many musicians start their successful country music careers.

Arthur was the beloved husband of 32 years to Mary King Allsopp; father of Arthur Allsopp III and wife Jodi of Plymouth, Jody Corbett and partner Tiffany Potter of Plymouth and Ranae Allsopp of Columbus Ohio; brother of Beverly Burnett, Cynthia Gauthier and Deborah Quinzani and the late Geraldine Harrington.
