Shirley A. (Leach) McKeown-Massey, 85, of Worcester formerly of Port St. Lucie, FL died Saturday, April 29th in the Jewish Healthcare Center. Her husband of 9 years, Richard S. Massey, Sr. died in 2012. She leaves a son, John McKeown and his wife, Katharine; two daughters, Cathleen Carson and her husband, Scott of Truckee, CA, and Colleen Ramsdell and her husband, Donald of Worcester; two granddaughters, Ashley and her partner, Jake, and Cathleen; six great-grandchildren, Kyle, Rose, Domonic, Emersyn, Jake, and Skylar. She was predeceased by a brother, James J. Leach.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Deagle) Leach, and graduated from Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing. Shirley worked for Hahnemann Hospital and UMass Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and spending the summers at Cape Porpoise, Maine. Shirley was a member of Hahnemann Hospital Alumnae. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
