Elizabeth Cynthia (Henshaw) King, 61, of Lakeville, Massachusetts passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 26th, 2023. Born in Providence, RI, on April 6th, 1962, she was the daughter of Cynthia Morin and Reginald Henshaw. Elizabeth is survived in legacy by her husband, Douglas King; her children Brittany King and husband AJ Doyle, Alexandra King and husband Evan Martin; her sister Melissa Henshaw and brother Timothy Henshaw.
Lisz attended Coyle and Cassidy High School where she met the love of her life, Douglas. She continued her education at Saint Anselm’s College to pursue a nursing career. Lisz selflessly dedicated her time and passion to care for her patients for 38 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Lisz enjoyed all life had to offer with many passions. From cooking, camping, and sports but true happiness was brought to her in the simplest ways, an evening spent with family laughing by a fire brought the purest joy to her heart. Her children were the light of her life and will continue to make her proud.
Lisz persevered through unimaginable challenges since her diagnosis always with grace, strength, and an incredible will to live. As her oncologist so sincerely put it, “If I ever face adversity in my life, I hope to have a little Elizabeth King in me.”
