FALL RIVER … Daniel S. Silvia, 85, of Fall River passed away, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at home in Fall River.
He was the husband of Germaine M. (Barrette) Silvia of Fall River and they had been married for 63 years.
Mr. Silvia was born in Fall River a son of the late John S. and Rosalina (Farias) Silvia and had lived in Fall River all his life.
Daniel had been employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the city of Fall River for 30 years. Prior to that he had been employed as a shirt presser with the former Shelburne Shirt.
He was in the Army as a Heavy Artillery Operator where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Retired Fall River Municipal Employees Association.
Survivors include his wife, a niece, 2 great nieces and a great nephew. He was the half-brother of the late John S. Silvia, Jr.
