Obituary

Cheryl Byrne ( White) of Rehoboth, formerly of Foxborough and Canton passed away April 25th after a long, hard fought health battle. Born in Westwood and raised in Canton, Cheryl graduated from Canton High School and Mass Bay Community College. She worked for many years as Administrative Assistant for the Brookline DPW.
Beloved wife of Sean Byrne, whom she loved dearly. As an avid sports fan she was happy watching football, hockey, baseball, basketball and golf together. Whether dining out at some of their favorite restaurants such as Twin Oaks or traveling with friends, they always enjoyed being together. Cheryl had a passion for her clothing and accessories , typically finding a way to incorporate her favorite color purple. They enjoyed spending quiet time watching wildlife in their backyard of their home. Cheryl's greatest pride and joy who she loved very much were her three children. Lisa and Scott Rapoza of Attleboro, Kerri Symington of Duxbury and Craig Colwell of Foxborough. She enjoyed being a mother and sharing in their happiness . Cheryl was known as Grammy to her four grandchildren Sienna, Raquel, Max and Porter Symington of Duxbury that she loved to spoil as often as possible.
Cheryl was the sister of Debra Sulesky of Stoughton, Donna McGill of Franklin and Daniel White of Norfolk, and the daughter of the late Irene and Earle White of Canton. Cheryl and her siblings shared a lifelong bond.
Cheryl was the ultimate Patriots fan, and was honored by the team for the Crucial Catch. She loved going to the games in any type of weather and was an avid high-fiver to all of the other fans. She had many wonderful, dear friends throughout her life that she counted as extended family, as well as many brother and sister-in laws whom she was very close with. Cheryl was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Cheryl had many charities she held close in her heart, one of her favorites was St. Jude's Children's Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name.

Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home at 455 Washington St. Canton on Monday May 1 from 4:00-7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Canton Congregational Church 1541 Washington St. Canton on Tuesday May 2 at 11:00 followed by burial at Knollwood Memorial Park , Canton.
