SPENCER: Eleanor M. (Huard) Harris, 94, formerly of Bellevue Drive, died peacefully at Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton, on Sunday, April 23rd, after a long illness.
She leaves her son; David M. Harris and his wife Ana of Spencer, her daughter; Deborah J. Laliberte and her husband David of St. Cloud, FL., her grandchildren; Kelly Mendez and her husband Jose, Daniel McGowan and his wife Claudia, Shannon Berthiaume and her husband Brent, Christopher Harris and his wife Katrina and Kelsey Harris, as well as great grandchildren; Aidan Mendez, Theo and Natalie Berthiaume, and Oaklynn and Tucker Harris. She is predeceased by her brother Francis "Bud" Huard and her former husband George W. "Monk" Harris.
She was born in Spencer, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Byron) Huard and later graduated from David Prouty High School. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. Eleanor was director of the Northeast Region of the National Association of Security Dealers for 15 years prior to her retirement in 2000. Ellie loved her family and enjoyed sports, travel, and crossword puzzles.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 10th in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Rte.9 in Spencer.
