AnneMarie (Grafton) Jannetti of Somerville passed away on Monday, April 24th. She was 87. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Henry and Lotti (Hellen) Grafton.
AnneMarie loved to spend time with her family. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. AnneMarie’s family were her pride and joy; they were her world. She had a caring disposition and a heart of gold. She would help anyone in need; there was no one she would turn away.
When not spending time with her family, AnneMarie was in her kitchen cooking and baking. Her dishes were made from scratch and were known to be delicious, especially her world famous pizzelles.
AnneMarie was the devoted mother of Anne Jannetti and her husband David Strong, Kathleen Sartell and her husband Daniel, and James Jannetti. She was the loving Nana of Anthony Jannetti, Gabrielle Sartell, Alex Jannetti, Adam Jannetti and Daniel Sartell. AnneMarie was the caring sister of Catherine Starkey and her husband Cliff, and the late Henry Grafton and his wife Helen. She was the dearest lifelong friend of Rosemarie Fallon, and the loving cousin of Paul Kellen and his wife Jean. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
AnneMarie’s funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Monday, May 1st at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with her family on Sunday, April 30th, from 4 through 7 PM.
