CALLAGHAN, John “Jackie” M. of Jamaica Plain, formerly of West Roxbury and Roslindale, passed away on April 21, 2023. Beloved son of the late William (BFD Ret.) and Julia (Lucey) Callaghan both originally from Cork, Ireland. Dear brother of the late Sr. Sheila P. Callaghan, SND, William J. Callaghan and his twin Jeremiah P. Callaghan. Dear cousin of the late Maureen Walsh. Beloved uncle of Sheila Callaghan of Wakefield and Kevin Callaghan of Marblehead. Great-uncle of Patrick, Kristen, Derrick, Dylan and Emma.
Longtime employee of the former Boston City Hospital.
A visitation will be held at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury on Tuesday, April 25 from 9:30-10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart (Lower) Church, Roslindale at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in The Gardens Cemetery, West Roxbury.
