Pauline Lorraine Wells, nee Blevins, entered into rest on April 20, 2023, at home in Ventura due to natural causes. She was 92 years old and lived a long and beautiful life.
Pauline was born in Ventura, California, to Everett and Elizabeth Blevins, on August 10, 1930 and spent her life in the city of Ventura that she cherished dearly.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Richard Eugene Wells, parents Everett and Elizabeth Blevins, and brothers, Roger (Sonny) Blevins, and Carl Leroy Blevins.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Linda (Tom) Weed and son, David (Wendy) Wells, by 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Everett ‘Buddy’ Blevins, sister, Betty Cole, sister, Jane (Ron) Park, brother, Howard ‘Dean’ (Aija) Blevins as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Pauline had a long and varied working career with the County of Ventura as well as other private firms until her retirement.
Pauline was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Ventura, where she married her husband Richard in 1949. Until recently she was actively a part of the quilting group at First UMC as well as participating in several social dinner groups and genealogy studies. Pauline also enjoyed playing canasta with her group of friends and attending computer classes. For someone of her era she had a real yearning to learn all she could about using a computer.
Pauline will be fondly remembered as the nice lady everyone seemed to know and the consummate social butterfly.
Family and friends are invited a Memorial Service to be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 am in the BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura.
Pauline was a breast cancer survivor and in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
