Mrs. Ethel N. (Tartachny) Silva, 99, of Medford, passed away on April 16, 2023, at Carleton Willard Village in Bedford. The daughter of the late Samuel and Emily Tartachny, she was born in Passaic, NJ on July 26, 1923. Mrs. Silva moved to Medford as a young girl where she later worked as a secretary and a was a loving housewife and mother. Mrs. Silva loved gardening, participating in her prayer group, and being involved at Grace Episcopal Church. She will be most fondly remembered for her love of spending time caring for her family. The widow of Herbert Silva, she was also pre-deceased by her brother Paul Tartachny. Mrs. Silva is survived by her son Barry Silva of N. Reading, daughter Melanie and her husband David Stewart of Billerica, and brother Daniel Tartachny and his wife Linda of Spencer.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Beal, Geake, Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave., Medford.
