Normand J. Belanger, 80, of Hooksett, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 16, 2023, in his home. He was born on February 13, 1943 in Drummondville, Canada, a son of the late Lucien and Jeannette (Beaulieu) Belanger. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. Upon completion of service, he worked as a pressman for the Boston Globe newspaper.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley (Peetz) Belanger of Hooksett, one son, Marc G. Belanger of Atlanta, GA, two daughters, Terri Lynn Modine of Hooksett and Lisa Adler of MI; three sister, Lizette Rock, Collette Higgins, and Pat Whitehead; five grandchildren, Riann Wieland, Kennedy Daziel, Camron Modine, McKenzie Adler, and Cody Adler; and one great-grandchild, Walker Wieland. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gilles Belanger and Donald Belanger.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a private graveside service with Military Honors was held at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
