Dana Liston Brown III, 38, of Bristol, Rhode Island formerly of Medway, surrounded by loved ones, peacefully passed away on April 18 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Framingham, October 5, 1984, the son of Kim E. VanBreedam of Medway and the late James B. Brown, Dana was raised in Medway and had lived in Bristol for the past five years.
Dana was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
He was in the PhD program at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth at the time of his death.
Dana had worked for the United States Navy as an engineer.
He enjoyed basketball, attending concerts with friends, and ramen.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Kai Sciortino and her husband Anthony of Bellingham, Micaela Kenneally and her husband Denis of Bellingham and Matthew Evans of Vermont.
He is also survived and loved by his nieces and nephew, Ashley Reichert, Anthony Reichert, Evelyn Sciortino, and Aubree Sciortino.
Dana will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held on Thursday, April 27 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway from 4-7 p.m.
